Bencluna’s restored 1893 homestead is on 6 acres of gardens and native rainforest.

Wide open verandas and a huge resort-style pool mean you may never leave!

A newly renovated cooks kitchen, huge living area, and BBQ pavilion are all available for you to unwind and enjoy all Bencluna has to offer.

Guests have sole use of the whole house and the gardens.

There are many locations where you can lounge, rest, and play. Large verandas, sun lounges, chairs, and outdoor tables allow you to choose where you want to relax.

There is an outdoor fire pit away from the main house where you can enjoy a fire while looking at the stars.

The property is totally secluded, with no visible neighbours, meaning you can truly unwind and relax.

There is a significant area for you to explore or for kids to play in, including a giant trampoline.

There is a full laundry with Miele washing machine and dryer.

The self-contained pool studio is available by arrangement for a separate fee - enquire on booking.

This peaceful hideaway is located in Eureka—just 5 minutes from Federal, 10 minutes from Bangalow, and 25 minutes from Byron Bay. Perfectly located to enjoy the stunning hinterland and all it offers, whilst a short drive away from Byron and its amazing beaches and lifestyle.


Bencluna is easily accessible, with Ballina Airport only 30 minutes away and Gold Coast Airport just a 1-hour drive.

Pool and Grounds

The architect-designed resort-style magnesium salt pool is elevated above the ground, offering a unique sensation of floating while you gaze into the lush rainforest canopy. Surrounded by abundant birdlife and framed by breathtaking sunsets, this pool area is the ultimate place to relax and unwind.

Bencluna’s broad, open decks provide ample space to find your own quiet corner or gather with friends for afternoon cocktails. Expansive grassed areas and manicured gardens surround the house, inviting exploration and relaxation.

The incredible birdsong here must be heard to be believed. The surrounding rainforest is home to many rare bird species and native wildlife, and you may even spot the resident koala.

Large sun loungers on the pool deck offer the perfect place to soak up the sun or take a refreshing swim. The pool is easily visible from the kitchen and verandahs, allowing parents to relax while keeping an eye on children.

You are in complete seclusion with no neighbours in sight. Take the time to wander the grounds and check out our regeneration efforts, where over 2000 trees and plants have been planted; walk through the citrus grove and grab a finger lime, or head to the top meadow at night to look at the sky in all its glory.

Hopefully, you will see the elusive Richmond Birdwing Butterfly, which only lays eggs on 1 type of creeper (which we have planted many)

  • Bookings may be cancelled up to 30 days before check-in for a full refund.

  • The pool can be heated on request with a $200 surcharge.

  • There is a two-night minimum stay.

    During peak periods over school holidays, a five-night minimum stay is required.

    During select long weekends, a three-night minimum stay is required.

  • Unfortunately, due to the sensitive nature of the environment surrounding Bencluna (and the lack of fences), pets are not permitted.
